A Libertarian Viewpoint on Drug Decriminalization
Harvard Libertarians have something to say about prohibition when one of their own is busted with LSD While many argue that the present laws are too restrictive of certain substances—notably marijuana—or contended that some drugs presently criminalized should be heavily regulated instead of banned outright, libertarians take a different stance: the sale, purchase, and use of all drugs—and all substances in general—should be legal, not punished by coercive force.
